The Dos and
Don’ts of EDC

A Quick Guide to EDC Success

We know you always keep your wits about you—even in a sea of writhing, laser-lit humanity.

Nevertheless, a few tips to guide you to EDC victory probably couldn’t hurt.

DO: Book your room a few days early and catch some of the EDC artists when they play the Strip all week.

DO: Get a three-day locker. It only sets you back $75, and it’s got a very necessary cell phone charger inside it. Also: plenty of room for your extra glow sticks. Reserve one here.

DO: Buy a three-day shuttle pass. You won’t have to sit in traffic, you won’t have to traipse through the parking lot, and you’ll be able to catch up on sleep during the rides. Reserve one here.

DO: Take in a sunrise at the festival from the stands (good) or from the Ferris wheel (better). The shuttle won’t leave without you (probably).

DO: Turn to Red Bull Editions anytime you feel your energy level sagging (remember, it’s a day-glo marathon, not a race).

DON’T: Forget where you parked. Yeah, we told you not to drive, but if you didn’t listen (and you don’t have a photographic memory), then note your car’s location. Remember, every Ford Focus from Hertz basically looks the same.

DON’T: Forget to get cash. Most vendors on site only take cash, and ATM lines are long.

DON’T: Bring anything that’s not sealed (gum, cigarettes, lip balm). You’ll have to throw it out on your way in. And yeah, they’ll find it.

Red Bull Editions. They’re available in three flavors—cranberry, lime and blueberry. It’s the liquid energy that’s going to carry you through the festival.
